2. Elite Turnier: zum ersten Mal in Salzburg

Am Wochenende 22.04.-23.04.2023 fand zum ersten Mal in Wals-Siezenheim (Salzburg) das 2. ÖBV-Elite-Ranglistenturnier statt. URW nahm mit Jordan McMahon in Herreneinzel und Ray Chen/ Medhavi Singh in Herrendoppel teil. Jordan konnte als Nachrücker mit zwei Siegen und zwei Niederlagen einen erfreulichen 10. Platz erreichen. Ray und Medhavi sicherten den 13. Platz – mit einem Sieg und drei knappen Niederlagen bestätigten sie, dass sie auf diesem Niveau kompetitiv sind. Wir bedanken uns bei den Organisatoren vom BC Union Walserfeld für das gut organsierte und gutgelungene Turnier!

Today (16.04.2023) held the tournament Mostviertel Cup 2022/2023 - Finale at St.Pölten.This Doubles tournament saw some intense and exciting matches between some of the best players in the region. However, it was Medhavi and Ray (Winners) who proved to be a cut above the rest. Close matches with Florian Wagner/Christian Buschenreithner and semi-final Sreedhar Baddigam / Tanja Edlacher, eventually a thrilling Finale against Manuel Kristler and Alexandra Kristler .

Congratulations-Jordan(2nd) & Himanshu(3rd) in"Small 5 Tournament-Mödling"

On 15 April 2023, Six URW players participated in "Small Five Tournamnet" held at Mödling.
Interseting fact about this Singles tournament was that, 4 URW players were in Quarterfinals.
Jordan Mcmohan played finals against Alexander Hammerer and had to satify with Second place whereas Himashu Giri won third place against Michael Zronek. Congratulations to all the winners.
 

 

Hallenzeiten - Osterwoche

In der Osterwoche, 3.-7.4., ist das Spielen am Mo (D.H.-Halle), Di (Liesing) und Fr (Liesing) möglich!

Die Halle am Medwedweg ist gesperrt (Schul-Halle).

Der Ostermontag (10.4.) ist ein Feiertag, daher ist an diesem Tag das Spielen in der D.H.-Halle nicht möglich.

1st Prize again for URW- Same Position, Same Place & Same Weekend !

It was a great weekend for URW, where they proved their brilliance in badminton two days in a row by securing 1st positions on the podium consicutively in the weekend tournaments.

Alla & Medhavi played doubles in Mostviertel Cup Amstetten and were able to secure 1st position.

Two 1st prizes for URW at Small-Five Tournament!

URW’s presence was strongly felt at the Small Five Tournament that took place on Saturday 18 March in Amstetten!
 
A great start for the new URW member, Michela, who smashed 1st place in her first ever singles tournament!
 
A big congratulation also to Ray, who together with Reka, snatched the first podium of the mixed tournament!
